Thinking - is it the Same for everyone?

A systemized order of thoughts (another neurological function that creates the differences in our capacity and ability – through learned or environmentally created aspects of training) Known as Bloom’s Taxonomy is the subject of todays Blog presentation! The idea is the type of thoughts as well as the domain of thought in the human entity – the importance of course is deep when it comes to neurological pathways and learning styles and memory types and personality when the goal is to create or enhance the superpower of thoughts and levels of thoughts. This mandates the domain of thought is the focus for specificity of the intent of the thought process.

Domains of Thinking and thereby learning:

·       Cognitive Domain (Knowledge retention and knowledge acquisition, Experiences of Heuristic formations, Socratic Questions for mental acuity and logical development)

·       Affective Domain (Feelings and emotional influences, World Paradigm, or type of reasoning with the belief in the feelings a thought or subject or being feels – emotional rationalization or justifications are found here)

·       Psychomotor (The physical correlation with movement, sensory acceptance, manual type of skill development)

The next emphasis is on what is called lower order thoughts and higher order thoughts (LOTS and HOTS) The science holds that lower order thoughts are based on memory (keep in mind there are several types of memory be sure to read the blog post on different types of memory too). The higher order or executive functions are determined through different neural initiation and even in varying parts of the brain or regions of the brain.

The depth of how this information can increase personal development and performance enhancement is much more than this particular introduction can allow for – come to stay with us at The American Standard Hotel and talk about how we can assist you in leveling up beyond the platitude but with the actual science and skills and competency necessary.

LOTS – Lower order thoughts (not a great place to dwell when memory is the only activity to assist with the engagement and integration of brain and body)

Lowest first:

1.)   Remember (memory – very basic and often can be skewed or not very accurate and dependable)

2.)   Understanding (Deals with actual comprehension and not just the basic memory)

3.)   Applying (Means that you can actually activate this thought into an action – now the intensity or the competency of the thought or action is measured here as a lower order thought, bear that in mind before you think applying is the stopping point – it is simply the highest of the lower order thoughts – but yes, it is still a lower order thought!

HOTS – The Higher Order Thoughts (where the foundation of understanding the reasoning and application of the process begins to amplify)

Highest level of thought ability is the last one on the list 😊

4.)   Analyze (This is where a person can dissect the thought into usefulness for a situation or specificity)

5.)   Evaluate (This is where a pragmatic assessment of probability and practicality are formed)

6.)   Create (This is where mastery happens – a place where systems or procedures are designed and solutions or answers to objectives are taking place – you implement all the other thoughts and now you can create or build the neural and other domain interests that suit your need or competency level – this in turn allows you to continue to scaffold upward thereby expanding competency and moving from discovery – to development to enhancement!

Joe Jekel

Who am I?

I am a Seeker, a Healer, part Warrior, part Sage. I am both a Student, and a Teacher. I am a Fighter that values peace and self – discipline.

I am an Intellect that understands, that it is the things that I do not know, that allow me to grow showing me that I have much more to learn.

I am a good spirit, a Warrior of light, a vessel of energy. I am incomplete and evolving through self - acceptance and self -actualization.

I am MadzookJoe!

I have experienced horrible pain and immeasurable pleasure. I have wielded deep darkness and I have discovered the absolution of powerful light.

I have experienced sexual repression, guilt and shame. I have also discovered the joys and freedoms offered through sexual openness.

I have trained hard and yet still tasted defeat. I have known the sweet savor of victory. I have hurt others, and I have been hurt.

I have failed, and I have known varying measurements of success. I have argued, negotiated, and agreed with many Worldly and Astral perceptions. I believe in the physical and the meta - physical.

I have searched for, and found the greatest depths within individuals. I have also known how shallow humanity can be.

I am a circle made of linear contrasts. I accept no label prescribed by another, but have been labeled many things.

I am born of storied experiences. I trust in the stability of balance while I seek the power of passion and spontaneity, the waves of an adventurous life.

I live life to the fullest and go fast or slow according to the barometer of the present moment. I endeavor to enlighten and to discover. I am a soul on a journey. I am just going to be ME!

Joe postulates that a primary etiology construct for human development and performance enhancement derives from self - discovery and acceptance, in contrast to blind tolerance or allowing one to settle for something rather than choose it.

Joe believes life is a journey of perpetual discovery and education summed of experiential life and academic knowledge attainments.

Joe is very candid and does not work with any clients that are not absolutely candid with him. It is Joe’s philosophy, that performance enhancement and all development constructs of the self, do not manifest wholly when candor or communication of honest perspectives and contexts are absent.

Joe takes a position that confidence and an appreciation of beauty (yours and others) is vital to become accepting of your own ability and capabilities, without cynical judgments or envy and pride as disruptions of the process.
